Memories of Africa
Saga Furs competition
LCF & Saga & Louis Vuitton competition
Discovering the fur craftsmanship and industry through visits at the Saga Design Centre in Denmark and the Yves Salomon offices in Paris, I have developed a project around the African wildlife and the safari era of the 1930s, that embedded sustainability through hand-made textiles and reinvention of well-known fur technics like intarsia.
The competition led to the creation of the Lion coat by the Yves Salomon atelier in London, with gold and black dyed blue fox.
